Hi folks,
Sorry for the accidental double post. After I started typing, I realized I forgot to tab to the edit field. I feel so stupid. I'd appreciate it if admin could delete the other post. Dizzy Lizie's comment about not being able to believe she was posting on the boards got me to thinking about doing things you never thought you'd do, and that's when I started thinking how unbelievable it is that I started playing high-low and black jack. I just started high low the other day, and black jack last night, so I'm sort of like a fish out of water with black Jack. I'm not sure I know what rules they mean by house rules, I'm not sure they're talking rules that apply everywhere, or whether they're talking about rules for the site only. Are house rules in black jack different on different places and different game sites? I sort of got tired of hangman, because I'm not good enough to win much, not that I'm points competitive, far from it. I just got sort of disenchanted at being told it took me 300 seconds to guess the word, when it took joe smith etc 250 seconds and 2 misses. So I decided to try something different. I lose more points with black jack and high-low, but at least in games where everything depends on luck rather than skill, everybody's on the same footing. I can't find enough anagrams to keep me occupied for very long. The reason I'm slow at hangman is because I've started looking at the word character by character to try and figure what letters need filling in. I dothat every time I get a letter correct. Keeno and blingo are the only 2 games I absolutely can't play at all. I guess I don't have enough deduction skills and mental prowess. high-low is almost mindless. Can't say that about black jack, lol. It'sfairly straightforward if the only choices I have are to hit or stand. When I have the choices to double down or split, it gets sort of complicated. I did fairly well when I chose to double down, but I'm not good enough or experienced enough to split, at least not yet. My mom thinks I'm doing great to have only been playing a day or two. Well, just thought I'd give my ramblings, so I'm off to see how many more points I can gain or lose. I'm glad there's no money involved, because if a point was a dollar, I'd have lost almost 1000 dollars.

hope you enjoy blackjack! i'm in to that to. only been playing for about a week but it's so worth while!
i'm no good at anagram iver so don't feel left out! as for kino i love that!
House rules refer to the rules of the particular establishment where you are playing. In this case, that means the sight itself.
Thanks kc, that sounded like it might be it, but I wanted to be sure. Well Stargate, I guess you and I are on an even footing with black jack. If I'm not careful though, I might be put on the statistics with the people who have lost the most. Guess I'd better read the house rules so I don't accidently break one.

*waves triumphantly* WW have fun taking over my top spot on biggest losers of black jack *grin*
well I'm on my way there, lol, if I can't be listed as the best winner, I'll just be listed as the biggest loser, hah.

hmmm, I haven't looked at site stats in ages. I wonder where I rank on each one of them damn boards? I don't even think I'm on the blackjack boards anymore...either of them, it's been so long since I've played, but the house rules in this case pretty much apply in most casinos too. Well, they would. There's really not much to blackjack. I don't think we're making any other different variations from the way they'd play it at the casinos, except for the fact that A, we can't see the cards, cause it's all text, and B, the dealer's computerized, oh, and C, everyone believes that zone blackjack is fixed for some reason...*looks pointedly at admin*
Well, I've given up on black jack for the moment, I have a better thing going with high-low, even though there are times I lose no matter what I do. I'm still up over 14 million points, and I haven't been playing that long. I'd rather have a computerized dealer any time, I think for me, playing interactive games with other people would be stressful instead of fun.
